New Phones Coming Out This 2014

Smartphones are evolving so fast that a 2013 smartphone phone would generally become boring and slow when the new phones will be released. If you are planning to buy a new phone this year, you might want to know about what the top device makers are working on their next flagship phone. A lot of rumors and leaks about these upcoming phones can be found online and rounding them up, here are the top new phones coming out this 2014.

Samsung Galaxy S5

A Samsung executive said the company was looking into implementing iris scanning technology as a security feature, but it might not be ready for the Galaxy S5. Samsung is reportedly bumping the 1080p AMOLED from the S4 up to a staggering 2560×1440 resolution for the Galaxy S5. The panel is expected to be somewhere around the 5-inch mark. The Galaxy S5 will have LTE and non-LTE variants, at least 3GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S5 release date is yet to be determined.

HTC One M8(new HTC One)

HTC One M8 will have a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution display and Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6.0. The metal body construction of the HTC One M8 will be the same as the 2013 HTC One. One change appears to be the addition of an extra camera sensor on the rear of the handset, designed to improve focusing, low light shooting and depth of field. Expected release will be this March 2014.

Sony Xperia Z2
Sony Xperia Z2

The Sony Xperia Z2 is an improvement and a refined Xperia Z1. The screen is 5.2-inches and it has a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and 3GB of RAM, so it could be one of the fastest phones around. Rumours are there will be front-facing speakers and noise cancellation through the supplied headphones. There's 4K video, as well as stabilisation.

LG G3
LG G3

The LG G3 is expected to have a 5.5-inch 2560×1440 LCD, 3GB of RAM and perhaps LG’s new Odin octa-core ARM processor. Odin hasn’t been officially announced, so it’s hard to say how it will compare to Snapdragon and Exynos. You can also expect LG to continue with the odd back-facing buttons.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo/Lite
Galaxy Note 3 Neo/Lite

The Note 3 Lite will have a 5.5-inch 720p AMOLED, 8MP camera, 2GB of RAM, 3100mAh battery, a 1.7GHz dual + 1.3GHz quad-core (Hexa) processor, and the S Pen stylus. It’s basically has similar specs of a Galaxy Note II but with updated software and a faster processor.

LG G Pro2
LG G Pro 2

LG has officially launched the LG G Pro 2, although it's initially a Korean handset only, no news on whether it will be available in other territories. The LG G Pro 2 has a 5.9-inch 1080 x 1920 resolution display, 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, 3GB of RAM, and LTE connectivity. The G Pro 2 has a 13-megapixel camera with optical image stabilisation on the rear, capable of 4K video capture.

Nokia Lumia 930
Nokia Lumia 930

The Lumia 930 is said to have a 4.5-inch 1920 x 1080 resolution display, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset and a 20-megapixel PureView camera. With the Lumia 925 getting rather old, it sounds like a likely spec bump for this important flagship space for Nokia.

Nokia X
Nokia X

One of the most leaked phones, the Nokia X is different. It's an Android phone, but no Google Play. You'll get access to Nokia's services, but it will also run Android apps. The best about the Nokia X is the price. They are affordable and won't give you the best smartphone experience but they might connect those who otherwise couldn't afford a smartphone.

More details about the release dates, specs, and prices coming soon on these new phones coming out this 2014.
